BC Council of Women

I’m speaking about my volunteering experiences at BC Council of Women meeting~!

I wanted to thank Successful Women Alway Network (SWAN) for the honor and privilege to share my volunteer experiences with them.  Having a passion to see change in the world, I love to inspire and encourage people to love and make a difference in the lives of those around us.  Whether it be locally, nationally or internationally, we can all join together and create a better world.

Here are some suggested organizations to partner with:

Union Gospel Mission
Salvation Army
YWCA Crabtree Corner Daycare
Harvest Project
First Baptist Church on Burrard
Street Church on Hastings Street
Vancouver Food Bank

2007 Fiji Photos

I went to Fiji in January – March 2007 to volunteer with underprivileged children and women prisoners.  Here are some photos~!

Indian teens in Fiji~!

This boy reminded me of a mini Usher~!

The kids I worked with~!

These kids had this sign leading to their village~!

We gave them a new sign and identity.

Mosquito nets we used for sleeping. The white pillow and tiger was my bed~!

We stayed with a Fijian pastor who had twin boys~! He made swings on a tree in front of his house.

Our means for transportation.

I got 27 mosquito bites when my arm flared out of my mosquito net.

Lucy was a doll~!

Kindergarten class I taught~!

Thank you so much Elsa for the beautiful photos~!

Everyone~!  Check out elsafanphotography.com !!!
